What this is
One hard thing, one honest decision.
R2R2R is not a retreat with a busy itinerary. It is a single demanding objective with a few days wrapped around it so we can arrive, attempt, recover, and leave a little clearer.
A single hard objective
Rim to Rim to Rim is one push. No stages, no shortcuts. One day where the canyon asks everything you have and more.
A decision at the North Rim
After the climb out, the group stops and decides together. The only acceptable answer to go back in is stoked, healthy, and confident.
Community-only
This is not a public event. It is for active Unrationed Community members who have done the work to show up ready.
Safety before bravado
The goal is for everyone to get home. If the North Rim is your finish line, there is no shame in that.

"The only answer that earns a return trip is stoked, healthy, and confident."

From the field
What the canyon does.
Not testimonials we wrote. These are words from men who have crossed thresholds with Unrationed.
“The canyon strips away the stories you tell about yourself. What is left is what you actually carry.”
“I had never been that far inside a hard thing with other men. It changed what I thought I was capable of.”
“Turning back was not failure. The structure of the group made it possible to choose the right thing.”
FAQ
Questions about R2R2R
- Who can register for Rim to Rim to Rim?
- This is a community-only event. You must be an active Unrationed Community member to register. If you are not yet in the community, the path is to join first, then sign up for R2R2R inside the app.
- How much does it cost?
- Pricing and registration details are shared with active community members inside the Unrationed app. This event is designed as an extension of the community, not a standalone public ticket.
- What is the route?
- The exact route and aid plan will be published in the community as we get closer to the event. The target is the classic South Rim to North Rim and back, roughly 43 miles with about 12,000 feet of combined elevation change.
- What is the North Rim Decision?
- When we reach the North Rim, we stop as a group and take an honest inventory. If anyone is not healthy, confident, and stoked to go back in, we talk it through. Turning around at the North Rim is a valid finish — the canyon does not care about bravado.
- What pace should I expect?
- The target pace is sub-24 hours, with a realistic timeline around 20 hours. This is a long, exposed, and serious route. You should be comfortable moving on tired legs, managing heat, and carrying enough food and water between aid points.
- Can I get a refund if I can't make it?
- Refund and transfer policies will be published in the community when registration opens. Because capacity is limited and logistics are complex, we ask that you only commit if you are serious about the training and the event.
One canyon. One decision. One push.
