Program, Payment & Refund Policy
Entry fees, memberships, deposits, prizes, and what happens when plans change.
Effective August 14, 2026
01How to read this
This policy covers what you pay, when you pay it, and what happens if plans change. It is part of our Terms of Use. Where a specific program agreement or event waiver says something different, that document controls for that program.
Billing questions: danny@unrationed.com. We answer.
02Wild32
- Entry is $50. There is no application.
- Open signup runs the first 25 days of March, June, September, and December. Late entries are not accepted once a round has started.
- Entry fees fund the prize pool and the cost of running the round. Before the round begins, you can request a full refund. Once the round begins, entry fees are non-refundable — the pool is already committed to the men competing.
- Prizes are paid to the top of the final leaderboard according to the payout structure published for that round. Payouts are issued after the round closes and results are verified.
- Falsified check-ins, coordinated manipulation, or breaking the stated commitments forfeits your standing and any prize, without refund.
- Prizes may be reportable income. You are responsible for your own taxes, and we may require tax information before issuing a payout.
03The Unrationed Community
- Membership is billed on a recurring basis at the rate shown when you join. There is no 12-month contract.
- You can cancel any time from your account or by emailing us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you keep access until then.
- We do not prorate partial periods. Membership fees already paid are non-refundable, except where required by law.
- If we change the price, we will give you notice before your next renewal so you can decide.
- Failed payments may pause access until the balance is settled.
04The Unrationed Year
- The Year is application-based. Applying costs nothing and does not guarantee a seat.
- Once you are accepted and confirm your seat, a deposit holds it. The deposit is non-refundable, because accepting you means turning someone else away.
- The balance is paid in full or in the installment schedule stated in your enrollment agreement. Missed installments may pause participation.
- Withdrawing more than 60 days before the cohort start: everything except the deposit is refunded. Between 60 and 30 days: 50% of amounts paid beyond the deposit is refunded. Within 30 days of the start or after the cohort begins: no refund, because the year's costs are already committed.
- Travel, lodging outside included retreat nights, and personal expenses are not included unless stated.
05Retreats and events
- A deposit reserves your spot and is non-refundable. The balance is due by the date stated for that retreat.
- Cancelling more than 60 days out: amounts paid beyond the deposit are refunded. 60 to 30 days out: 50% of amounts paid beyond the deposit. Inside 30 days: no refund, though you may transfer your spot to another eligible man with our written approval.
- Unless we say otherwise, the price covers programming, facilitation, and the lodging and meals listed for that retreat. Airfare, ground transport, gear, permits, insurance, and personal expenses are yours.
- We strongly recommend travel insurance for any retreat requiring flights or backcountry travel.
- If weather, permits, wildfire, illness, or another event outside our control forces a change, we will reschedule, relocate, or credit your payment toward a future retreat. We are not responsible for non-refundable travel you booked independently.
- If we cancel a retreat outright and cannot offer an acceptable alternative, we refund what you paid us for that retreat.
06Retreat facilitation for organizations
Facilitation engagements for leadership teams, founder groups, and other organizations are governed by the individual statement of work or proposal we sign with you, including its own deposit, scheduling, and cancellation terms.
07Chargebacks
If something is wrong with a charge, email danny@unrationed.com first. We would rather fix it directly than fight a dispute. Filing a chargeback without contacting us may result in loss of access to programs and the community.
