Our story
There was a time when young men stepped into a wilder place.
In that liminal space he would experience a rite of passage — maybe in the presence of men, maybe alone — where he would face the unknown beyond the familiar glow of the campfire. Through facing the fear of the unknown, he would come to know both himself and what it meant to be a man. The return home marked a transition from boyhood to manhood.
Unfortunately, this way of transitioning from boyhood to manhood has gotten lost.
We exist to bring it back.
We exist to help men pursue extraordinary at work, at home, and at play — together. Most men don't need more knowledge. They need to stop drifting. Drifting from their families. Drifting from their bodies. Drifting from their own standards.
The world does not need more productivity hacks. It needs more men who know who they are and show up for it. Unrationed is a place where high-responsibility men can be truly known, cross real thresholds, and turn pressure into strength instead of stress.

We invest in the success of our brothers. This means actively supporting and engaging with one another's progress and well-being. When one thrives, we all do.
Hold the center
We find and keep the middle ground rather than being pulled to extremes. It's about openness, being present, and exploring ideas without rigidly adhering to any one viewpoint. We can learn from all.
Rough hands
We believe that work is love made visible. That includes work that demands things from our body to provide for our families. We live in a post-industrial world, but we're built for hard work.
Bigger maps
Growth happens beyond the thresholds of our comfort zones. We embrace challenges and choose to explore uncharted territory. When we return home, it's with maps that have gotten bigger.

We engage in meaningful and substantive conversations that delve into deeper topics rather than surface-level small talk.
